As a result, these ‘Social Shifters’ are rising up around the climate crisis, volunteering in record numbers, and actively choosing career paths and brands with purpose. Social Shifters operates as a non-profit company and regulated Scottish Charity helping the next generation of young leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to tackle the world’s most pressing social and environmental issues in new ways. Social Shifters inspire action, build confidence and skills, and help accelerate some of the most impactful youth-led sustainability projects on the planet.

About Global Innovation Challenge

Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge is open to young leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs (18 - 30 years) with BIG ideas to take on the world's most urgent social and environmental issues.

We’re looking for highly innovative ideas, projects, and business solutions to the issues that matter most to you and your community. We welcome ideas at any stage and from anywhere in the world.

• Get help to develop (and gain recognition for) your BIG idea - learn new skills, work with a supportive global community, and boost your public profile!
• Multiple grant funding awards of up to $10,000 USD are available to help you launch or scale!
• 100% FREE submission support to ALL participants PLUS a range of follow-on support opportunities for up to 100 qualifying projects AND 1-2-1 coaching for all finalist teams!

Eligibility:

• Region: Open for all
• Age: Open to anyone aged 18 to 30 years old.
• Location: Entrants welcome from any country.
• Focus: Must address one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals.
• Stage: Startup ideas and project solutions can be at any stage.
